I was looking for additional movie footage of the U.S. SECOND CAVALRY DIVISION. Just by pure luck I came across this movie of the 10th and 28th CAVALRIES during training operations at CAMP LOCKETT, CALIFORNIA. I have seen a DVD of movies taken at FORT CLARK, TEXAS in 1943. That DVD was only 19 mins long and was incomplete. This footage gives the 21st Century viewer a more complete idea of U.S. HORSE CAVALRY training. My late father, W.C. WESTEN M.D. was a medical doctor who was second in command of the 9th CAVALRY MEDICAL DEPT at FORT CLARK,TEXAS.1942-1943 This is an absolutely wonderful film.
